What activities will the G10 Humanities Club do?

Small projects for a big impact!

There are lots of fun activities to choose from to show national competition judges that we can work as a great school community.

Planning a short ANZAC service for classrooms.

If you like music, event planning and creating a great moment that everyone in the school will appreciate.

Special Year 7 project on John Monash

John Monash was one of the greatest Generals in World War 1 (1914-1918). He was also a significant mathematician and Civil Engineer. Let’s tell how his knowledge saved lives in Gallipoli and France.

Telling the less-known stories of those who fought at Gallipoli.

We should continue to tell the stories of Australian and New Zealand soldiers who originally identified as English, Scottish, Welsh, or Irish. However, we should also tell the stories of the many other nations that fought at Gallipoli, such as Maoris and Indian soldiers.

Interviewing Local Veterans

Work to tell the stories of people who have served their country from our local area. Help interview and tell the stories of Army, Air Force, and Navy veterans who sacrificed themselves for Australia.

Interviewing historians and curators

Talk to work historians and curators who look after the important records that hold the history of Gallipoli. Find out how they go about their work and how they work on exhibitions so the public can remember the importance of the Gallipoli campaign.

Working on digital publications

Help create our purpose-built G10 Humanities Club website so that everyone can share in the spirit of ANZAC and all that it means to us as Australian people and as a school community.
